Megan + Kurt each got ready at their family's beach homes in Long Beach Island. The mood was set, and I knew immediately that this would be one of my most fun weddings to date.

A Semi-Private First Look

Having fun was a priority for Megan + Kurt. We designed their timeline specifically for a fun and family-focused day. Their first look was on the beach, with their friends and family watching from the dunes. Little did we know, their semi-private session would be a bit more inclusive than we anticipated. A perfectly timed drive-by stunned and delighted everyone, as a pickup truck sporting a huge "MEGAN <3 KURT" banner approached from the horizon, driven by a loved one with a canine co-pilot.

You can't plan this kind of perfection.

This day was full of non-traditional choices: A "Flower Gang" in lieu of a flower girl, bouquets of vibrant greens over flowers, and my favorite- a pre-ceremony cocktail hour at home. Their own backyard tiki bar was the perfect setting for a relaxing hour with family before heading to the venue. Megan + Kurt sipped an "I Do Brew" by Departed Soles Brewing Co., the groomsmen played with a dead horseshoe crab, and mom photo-bombed some otherwise romantic portraits.
